Nicholas Brand LLB, B.A.
Nicholas Brand was admitted to practice in 1985.
He has an extensive background in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, commercial business law and employment law. Nicholas was a founding director of Bazzani Brand Lawyers, and headed Bazzani Brand’s litigation team from 1998 to 2007.
Nicholas brings to Bazzani Scully Brand a breadth of legal knowledge and depth of experience and skills in commercial and civil litigation. He regularly deals with and appears in matters in the Supreme Court, County Court, Federal Court and VCAT, and combines his knowledge of court practice and procedure together with highly developed tactical and case management skills to achieve successful outcomes for his clients.
Acting for all sizes of companies and business, Nicholas has experience across a wide number of industries, and has acted in disputes relating to contracts, shareholders, partnerships, gaming and licensing, leasing, employment, wills/estates, trade practices, building and planning, property, and intellectual property matters.
Nicholas also advises commercial and corporate clients on matters involving general business and corporate affairs, trusts and succession planning. His long standing relationships with his clients and his growing following are testament to both his ability to develop an understanding of, and then service his clients’ needs, as well as evidencing the successful outcomes he continues to achieve for his clients.
Nicholas also takes time to contribute to the community through his involvement with The Song Room Inc. As a board member, Nicholas uses his legal and expertise to help The Song Room Inc achieve its mission of providing high quality music and arts experiences to young people, particularly those disadvantaged through isolation, disability, recent immigrant status and financial circumstances, to enhance their creativity, learning and self-esteem, and consequently encourage their greater participation in school and community.
